HARDIN CO.— September is that time of year when the annual marijuana crops make the headlines as area police officers are tasked with tracking down every stem, bud and blossom of the “drug” that grows literally like a weed.
Charged with cannabis, rolling papers & machine
Mitchell Konrad, age and address unavailable, and Austin German of Rural Route 1, Box 66, Cave-In-Rock have been charged with one count of Unlawful Manufacture of Cannabis claiming that on or about Sept. 4 they knowingly manufactured more than 500 but less than 2,000 grams of cannabis; as well as one count of Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver 500 but less than 2,000 grams of cannabis.
Konrad is also charged with four counts of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia identified as an electronic scales, a water pipe, a glass smoking pipe and a green metal pipe and one count of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, the specifics of which were not available.
German is also charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia identified as cigarette rolling papers and a cigarette rolling machine, both of which can be purchased in profusion since the price of cigarettes have skyrocketed and more smokers are buying tobacco and rolling their own.
German was released from custody Sept. 11 after posting $1,200 cash bond.
Konrad was released after he posted a $600 cash bond.
