Williamson County — Sheriff Bennie Vick has advised that there is a current investigation concerning a Missing Person.
The Sheriff’s Office was notified at 6:46 p.m., on September 21st, of a missing person who had been threatening to harm himself.
The missing person has been identified as Robert M. Boaz, 19, whom was last heard from by family members a little after 3:00 p.m., on the day he disappeared. Family members located Boaz’s vehicle in the area of Herrin City Lake #2 at around 4:00 p.m. Family members began searching for Boaz before contacting the Sheriff’s Office, but found nothing.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office contacted Lake of Egypt Search and Rescue and the US Fish & wildlife Service and requested their assistance. The search ended around midnight, and was resumed this morning at 7:30 a.m.
Boaz was last seen wearing blue jeans, a sleeveless green shirt, and camo cowboy boots. He has short brown hair, blue eyes, and is 5’04” and weighs 110 pounds. Boaz is possibly armed with a handgun.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Boaz is asked to call the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
