WILLIAMSON CO., Ill.—Brandon Zanotti, Williamson County’s new state’s attorney, held a press conference this morning at the Williamson County Sheriff’s office to announce his desire to have better communication with various law enforcement.
He has scheduled meetings and has appointed Energy Police Chief Shawn Ladd (on Zanotti’s left) to be liaison between departments. Ladd is also vice chairman of major case squad.
Zanotti also mentioned there has been no positive identification on the body found in a house fire on McGeesville Road on Saturday.
He stated that after Cindy Stearns was sentenced to 75 years in prison for her role in her father’s murder, on Monday (Sept. 8), she was denied a motion to reduce her sentence.
Zanotti also noted that he will be filing formal charges soon against Roman Moore of Harrisburg for armed robbery of Small’s Market.
And lastly, during the conference Zanotti noted that Brian Jones has been sentenced to 7 years in IDOC for deplorable acts against a child.
