JASPER and CRAWFORD CO.–Unofficial reports have indicated that approximately 7:30 p.m. tonight, (September 10) a tornado, or at least tornadic winds (rotation) was said to be in the Ste. Marie area traveling in a northeasterly direction.
The tornado/tornadic winds was then reported in the Oblong area and said to have caused damage to a few houses when trees fell on the homes. A house on Kentucky Street and North Range in Oblong was one of these victims when a tree fell on the residence.
A tree was also reported to have fallen down by Oak Glenn Golf Course near Stoy.
Some of the other damages that have occurred due to the storm is an unofficial report of a blown transformer in Robinson; as well, there is a power outage south of Stoy.
