CRAWFORD CO., Ill.—Authorities this afternoon are at a rural Flat Rock location, where a body has been discovered in a home there.
While we’ve been in contact with Crawford County Coroner Earl Deckard, he’s out of the area and his deputy coroner, Greg Mann, is at the location currently, so there aren’t many details available, but here’s what we’ve been told: The body of a male was found at the rural Flat Rock residence this morning. We don’t have an age, name, or exact location. As with any unattended death, authorities are investigating. However, under this circumstance, Illinois State Police have been called in to assist Crawford County personnel. The area of the house has been taped off, and authorities have been on-scene for hours. It’s expected that they’ll be there for several more hours.
When we get an update, we’ll bring it. Check back frequently.
