GALLATIN CO., Ill.—Official reports are coming in that the manhunt in Gallatin County has been called off with the capture of the Shawneetown Equality resident sought.
Lonnie Mann was sought throughout the day today, and was the subject of an intensive manhunt this afternoon and evening, after his girlfriend Teresa Williford ran from the location of an alleged beating, and got the attention of some residents in the Shawnee National Forest, who alerted authorities.
Williford was flown out of the area by helicopter after multiple broken facial bones were discovered to be but part of the injuries she sustained in a severe beating, which she initially tried to tell authorities were sustained after a four-wheeler accident…at 6:20 this morning.
Mann was sought by air, ground and K9 units throughout Gallatin County. It’s unclear at this point where he was located, but our sources have advised that he’s been taken into custody.
