SALINE CO., Ill.—Authorities are working a wreck that occurred earlier this morning on Womble Road south of Harrisburg.
Our sources have indicated that Illinois Department of Transportation has shut down a portion of Illinois 34 in the vicinity while crews work to clean up the wreck, which is reported to be about a mile south of the community of Rudement.
There’s been no report on injuries, but it’s our understanding that the semi (a Hollywood coal truck) involved in the wreck—reportedly a collision with a maroon minivan—was in flames, this report at about 7:30 a.m. The collision itself, we’re being told, may have happened as early as an hour before.
If there’s any change to this report, we’ll update…keep checking back.
