UPDATE….UPDATE…..UPDATE….UPDATE….

We just checked the paperwork and it appears that Ms. Williams has been charged with THREATENING A PUBLIC OFFICIAL. The threat was allegedly something she issued toward Rosiclare police chief Charlie Lampert. It’s not clear whether this was online or in person. Regardless, that’s the deal. If it’s online, the post applies. If not, the post stands…because it’s funny.

Here’s the original post, unaltered:

HARDIN CO., Ill.—The inevitable has finally happened.

Nasty Tina Williams, whose harassment of certain Hardin County families, has been charged with cyberbullying, ostensibly through Facebook.

Lyndi picked up the charges today; we’ll be featuring the entire thing in detail in the upcoming print version (August-September 2014; also, here at the e-Edition). For those of you who have been the victim of Williams’ vulgar, violent and most of the time non-sensible Facebook rants, you’ll be completely familiar with her tactics. For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of being graced with the filth she spews, you’re out of luck: while you can search for her Facebook page, as displayed here in this screencap I took:

When you click the link, it goes to this:

However, you can of course read some of the garbage she has promoted in the past by clicking this link and searching her name on our site.

Whether any of this was what resulted in the arrest and charges, we’ll just have to see when we get the files from Lyndi. And of course, whether Tara-ble Wallace, Hardin prosecutor, will actually follow through with any of it remains to be seen. However, we’re hearing it was a good arrest, following a good investigation, so let this be a warning to all: You just can’t spew garbage like what Williams has been doing against private individuals. You can issue opinions, name-call and all manner of free speech about PUBLIC officials and the job they’re doing…but doing so against a private individual as it regards what they do in their day-to-day lives (not as it regards criminal charges, or when they’re addressing a government entity, etc) is a no-no. And when it descends to threats of physical violence, that is a REAL no-no.

Don’t be a Tina; use sense when Facebook ranting.
