ANOTHER LOCAL IS HAVING A BOOK PUBLISHED!

It’s always an exciting thing when a local person in little old southern Illinois accomplishes such a thing as writing and having published a book.

We have a great assortment of writers downstate whose books are remarkable in their subject matter as well as for their artistic prose: Our friends Bruce Cline, Kale Meggs, Susie Rigsby, and of course my wife Angela’s book, which the first month of release alone sold enough copies to qualify for bestseller lists (it didn’t get there because of the independent publisher issue) exemplify this.

Our feature story in the July Special Edition 2014 is about another name to add to the downstate published author list.

Here now for your noontime Read the Lead is this feature written by our own Jade, Clay County woman authors first book: The 13th Vow:

The grandmother of one of Clay County’s most notable toddlers over the past year has reached another achievement: Lesa Taylor of Xenia is readying herself for the publication of her first fiction novel.

Taylor is the grandmother of little Lily Jones, whose custody plight last year filled pages of this publication after her mother Andrea Weiler lost her life in a tragic four-wheeler accident and whose father, Zephrum Jones (Taylor’s son), effectively had baby Lily kidnapped from him only weeks later by Weiler’s family.

The story had a happy ending: Baby Lily was reunited with her father after the court sorted things out in July of 2013.

And now, Taylor has even happier circumstances coming up with the publication of her first book. Entitled The 13th Vow, it’s part one of a trilogy, which, interestingly enough, Taylor wrote by hand, having worked on them over the past year and a half.

With the second of the three-part installment titled The Awakening of Josie Bells and the third (which is actually still being penned) called Angel’s Own Dark Secret, the books tell the story of a troubled young girl who had been tormented and tortured by….
