WASHINGTON PARK • An Illinois prison guard – since fired – was arrested Thursday after being accused of having sexual relations with an inmate.
Victoria Castillo Wilken, 33, of Belleville, was charged with six felonies Wednesday: five counts of custodial sexual misconduct for dates in March, April and May, and one count of official misconduct, stemming from an alleged incident in January. She worked at the Southwestern Correctional Center.
Wilken and her husband could not be reached for comment Thursday, and no lawyer was listed for her in online court records.
Wilken was caught after unspecified “ongoing procedures and precautionary measures” led to an internal affairs investigation of “inappropriate contact,” an Illinois Department of Corrections spokesman said in an email.
