GALLATIN CO.—The Gallatin County Schools building in Junction was on lockdown this morning as a precaution after a student allegedly made threats of bringing a weapon to school.

We’re still clarifying reports, but official information from the school has it confirmed that one Caleb Jones allegedly made threats of the nature that he would retaliate against some perceived affront against him by bringing a weapon to school. As a result of this alleged threat, when Caleb wasn’t at the school this morning (one report has it that he was there but he left; we’re checking that one out), officials decided to play it safe and lock down the school.

Authorities then made attempts to locate Caleb, who lives in Equality (he’s the nephew of the infamous John B. Jones of Equality).

They reportedly found him in or around Eldorado; wherever he was actually located, we’ve been told that ‘rado authorities had him in custody shortly after the lockdown and he was being transported back to Gallatin.

Our sources aren’t real sure how long the lockdown is in effect, but kudos to GallCo Schools officials for taking this step, as you can’t be too cautious under such a circumstance, since you never really know.

More as we get it; keep checking back, and sorry for the site overload.
