(Vincennes, Indiana) Vincennes Police are investigating a shooting that took place Friday afternoon in Vincennes.
UPDATE: Vincennes Police received a 911 call at 12:15 p.m. in reference to an injured person who had a gun shot wound on the 600 block of North 2nd Street.
There was a male and female involved and the male did not receive any injuries but the female is in critical condition.
No names are being released at this time since the investigation is still going on at this time.
The female was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and was later flown by helicopter to Evansville for treatment of her injuries.
As of this point it is looking to be an accidental discharge of the gun and no foul play is expected as of right now.
