MONROE, La.—A small, fixed-wing aircraft that crashed into the parking lot of a Louisiana McDonald’s restaurant late this morning departed from Carmi Municipal Airport just a few hours before.
The incident occurred at the Monroe, Louisiana, McDonald’s parking lot, and resulted in the fixed-wing craft resting upside-down.
The pilot, who has yet to be identified, was injured in the crash; whether he was aboard alone or had any passengers remains unknown at this time but we’re working on gathering details. There were no injuries on the ground as a result of the crash.
The aircraft departed Carmi at about 8 a.m. this morning.
