A New Jersey water park was flooded with negative comments after creating an email ad featuring an ill-conceived pun about missing children.
Sahara Sam’s Oasis attempt to lure visitors Thursday night quickly backfired when recipients saw the email subject line: “sAMBER ALERT: Your Kids Should Be Here,” Philly.com reports. An Amber Alert is, of course, issued to help find lost or abducted children.
Outraged parents unleashed a barrage of complaints on the West Berlin park’s Facebook page and suggested that Sahara Sam’s advertising department was wet behind the ears.
