CRAWFORD CO.–Fire bug, Craig ‘Whitey’ Fuller, 32, of Palestine was convicted today (March 15, 2014) of Arson less than $150.
Fuller was essentially charged on May 16, 2013 with Arson less than $150 and Criminal Damage/Fire/Explosive less than $100,000, in which he set fire to a confinement hog operation near Trimble which became completely engulfed.
His Criminal Damage to Property charge was dismissed and he was sentenced to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for his Arson charge. Fuller was also ordered to pay a total of $24,472 in restitution and fines, of which he still owes $14,382. His June 6, 2013, Arson charge, where it was alleged that he set fire to a tank battery in Flat Rock, has also been dismissed as part of a plea deal.
