WAYNE CO., Ill.—Yet another school instructor has been alleged to have unlawfully been videotaping underage youth at an area school.
Timothy Going, a math teacher and track coach at Fairfield Community High School, was suspended Friday (May 9) without pay after the school custodians found what appeared to be a video recording device in the girls’ locker room at the school, similar to what happened in Robinson late last year.
Here’s the letter Supt. David Savage sent out to parents yesterday:
Unfortunately, IF this is real, the presence of ISP in the matter means that “investigator” Rick White will be on it, since most entities take the lazy way out and bring in the closest ISP cop to look at the case…and White resides in Wayne County. White has been under fire lately, and his latest “win” in federal court is going to be outlined in the upcoming issue, on stands Tuesday and Wednesday, and scrutinized in detail…because even a federal judge sees that there’s something very wrong going on with White. And his involvement in the Going case may mean one of two things: If Going did what he’s accused of doing, White might cause the matter to be lost in court; and if Going didn’t do it, White might cause the matter to hem up an innocent suspect.
In the meantime, be watching for updates.
