WHITE CO., Ill.—The major cash theft occurring Thursday night at McLeansboro’s Dairy Queen was not an isolated incident, according to employees.
An employee advised Disclosure last night that the same man who robbed the McLeansboro location apparently immediately traveled to Carmi and tried the same thing there, that very night (Thursday, May 1, 2014).
It’s being reported to us that the alleged perpetrator, described as a large (240-280 lbs) black male, about 6 feet tall, went to the back door of the Carmi DQ and was looking around when he was spotted by an employee, at which time the man turned and left.
There’s been no report of an apprehension or even a suggested suspect. Photos of the man, taken by surveillance camera in McLeansboro’s location, don’t give a clear shot of his face, but are being circulated.
However, anyone recognizing the man in the surveillance pictures, or having any information about the crime, is urged to call the McLeansboro Police Department at (618) 643-4357.
