WABASH CO., Ill.—A press release from Mt. Carmel police has an outcome of a recent stolen goods situation in that town.
Mt. Carmel Police have advised of the arrest of two individuals in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries that occurred in March; both subjects were found to be in possession of items reported stolen on or about March 23, 2014.
The first arrestee was Michael A. Johnson, age 26, of Evansville, Indiana. Johnson was stopped on April 14, 2014 by a Mt. Carmel Police Officer after the officer observed Johnson operating a 2001 Ford. The officer knew Johnson was driving while suspended and had a Wabash County warrant for being in possession of stolen property. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he is being held on a $150 cash bond for driving suspended and a $500 cash bond for being in possession of stolen property.
Then on April 18, 2014, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Daniel L. Mims, age 20, of Evansville, Indiana at 1230 N. Walnut Street in Mt. Carmel on a Wabash County warrant. Mims was wanted for being in possession of a GPS system reported stolen on March 23, 2014. Mims was transported to the Wabash County Jail and posted $500 cash bond.
