UNION CO., Ill.—A second suspect has been arrested and charged in the beating death of a man in Anna over the weekend.
Travis Turner, no age given, of Dongola, was charged with First Degree Murder on yesterday (Monday, April 14, 2014).
The incident took place in Anna, where police were called to a residence on Douglas Street around 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, April 12. A man, later identified as James H. Morrison, was found lying on the ground outside the home, badly beaten. He was pronounced dead at the Union County Hospital.
Authorities have charged that Turner beat Harrison with a piece of lumber.
Turner is the second man to have been arrested in the death of Harrison; Jessie Bell, who was arrested Sunday, was to have appeared in court today Union County.
