BEAVERCREEK — A hole about 29 feet deep was discovered in the front yard of a Beavercreek home Monday evening.
The homeowner said her son was outside when he heard a hissing sound, and upon investigation, discovered the hole in the front yard of the home on King James Drive.
The hole is about one to two feet wide and is about 29 feet deep. Officials are not calling it a sinkhole and said it’s an isolated incident.
While the cause of the hole is unknown, officials said one possibility is that an old drainage system underground from when the land was farmland has deteriorated.
