ROSICLARE, Ill.—In an article out of Hardin County that was left behind in the massive coverage of the discovery of Chrissy Williams last week, we’ve learned about the follow up of the Rosiclare Dollar General Store break-in.
The break-in occurred last Thursday, March 19, 2014, in the early morning hours. The report was eclipsed when later that day, a private group searching the Ohio on the banks of the river at Rosiclare discovered Williams’ vehicle, with her in it, and all eyes were then on the sheriff’s department’s handling of that case.
Left behind was the situation with the break-in, which we’ve now learned was allegedly perpetrated by a juvenile. As such, the 16-year-old, who is from Indiana and was in the area visiting friends, cannot be identified by Hardin County officials. However, they were able to advise that the boy gave a “full confession” to authorities upon apprehension, which occurred hours after the incident.
The juvenile was transported to the Franklin County Detention Center’s juvenile holding, and was released the next morning to his parents.
The case will be moving through Hardin County circuit court.
