EDGAR CO., Ill.—Saving the best for last this evening, here’s the report on the sheriff’s race in Edgar County up in the Heartland.
Ed Motley, despite all the political wrangling, filth slung by the likes of Dee Burgin, and other typical corrupt garbage, has taken the nod for the Republican Party’s nomination for sheriff.
Motley is the incumbent who came to the county a few years ago, having previously worked for the FBI. He brought with him a no-nonsense approach to out-of-control law enforcement in the county, and got rid of the trash (namely, Burgin, but some other problems as well) and of course incurred the wrath of those in Edgar who think that because of how they’re entrenched, their word should be law, not the sheriffs.
But he prevailed, and will likely go on to take the office this Fall.
Good job, Edgar….keep taking out the trash, until it’s all gone and you have a relatively clean county to live in, something that hasn’t been seen in decades there.
