FLORA, Ill.–Chief John Nicholson released information today, (March 7, 2014), stating there will be an “Intruder Alert” drill that will take place at the Flora HIgh School.
Nicholson sent out the following in a press release:
On Friday, March 14th, the Unit #35 School District in conjunction with the Flora Police Department and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting an “Intruder Alert” drill at the Flora High School. This training will consist of emergency operation plans that the Unit 35 School District and local law enforcement have developed and will further enhance its policies and procedures in the event of an intruder emergency. There will be NO students involved in this training.
