WAYNE CO., Ill.—Those who were out in the winds last night in southern Illinois can attest to how rough it got, but an Indiana man was sent tot he hospital because of it.
David Michael Chargualf, 43, of Evansville, was traveling eastbound on Interstate 64 through Wayne County when at mile post 128, at about 6:04 p.m., a strong gust of wind struck his 2000 Freightliner…and blew it over on its side.
Chargualaf was transported to Fairfield Memorial Hospital by White County Ambulance Service for treatment of his injuries.
The Illinois State Police was assisted at the crash scene by the White County Sheriff’s Department, Grayville Police Department, White County Ambulance Service, Little Wabash Fire District, Crossville Fire Department, Illinois Department of Transportation, and Rick’s Towing.
