OLNEY, Ill.—A house fire on East Cherry Street in Olney has destroyed the possessions of the couple living there.
No one was injured in the fire that struck the house at 1105 East Cherry Street at around 1 p.m.; however, the interior is gone, according to resident Sabrina Hollingsworth, as well as the possessions she and her boyfriend had there.
Hollingsworth says they are in need of women’s size 18 pants, 2XL shirts, shoe size 9 1/2; and men’s pants 36-38, shirts XL and shoe size 12. As well, household items will be needed.
Hollingsworth told us she ran out of the house literally with no shoes on and with her laptop, as that’s all she had in her hands when the fire broke out. Authorities have told her they believe the fire was electrical in nature. They are staying at The Holiday in Olney temporarily. A friend, Dawn Fagin, has been assisting with picking up donations; contact her through her Facebook page.
