RALEIGH, Ill.—A wreck this morning just before the curve on 34, going out of Raleigh toward Galatia in Saline County, prompted closure of the highway until the gas main that was struck can be inspected and cleared of damage.
The accident happened at about 9:50; a woman drove her car up on a gas line on the south side of the highway, causing damage unknown at this time.
The woman refused emergency medical aid at the scene.
