A 17-year-old stole nearly $30,000 in December by dressing up as a Walmart employee and convincing management he was there to do inventory checks, authorities in Oklahoma say.
Police aren’t releasing the suspect’s name because of his status as a minor, but a report says the teen acted as a member of outside management and told a manager “he was doing an inventory of the store before general managers came to inspect them after the holidays,” according to KFOR-TV.
Authorities add that the 17-year-old was left “alone in the cash office” and stole “multiple bundles of cash, stuffing them inside his pockets and clothes.”
