A man in his 40s who went into Lake Michigan after one of three dogs he was walking was rescued near Montrose Point this evening–and the dogs are expected to be all right also, authorities said.
The Police Marine Unit responded about 5:15 p.m. to a call of a person in the water, said Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.
Crews were able to rescue a man in his 40s, and he was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital in serious condition, Zala said.
