WEST FRANKFORT (Franklin Co., Ill.)—An armed bank robbery has taken place this afternoon in West Frankfort, Illinois.
Our sources have advised that the incident took place at 3:53 p.m. this afternoon at a Banterra Bank branch. Police are said to be looking for a thin white male last seen wearing a black sock cap and a red and black jacket. He told bank employees that he had a gun, but none was displayed.
The man fled north on foot after the robbery.
