GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) - A Gibson County teacher has been arrested and is facing charges. State police say he is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a high school student.
Indiana State Police arrested 32-year-old Kyle Scott of Newburgh and a teacher at Wood Memorial High School, Tuesday afternoon at his home.
Officials say Indiana State Police Detective Tobias Odom started a criminal investigation on December 19, after receiving information that Scott had an inappropriate relationship with a student in December.
During the investigation, troopers determined that between December 12-18, Scott had allegedly sent several inappropriate text messages to the student, which included at least one picture and video.
