SALINE CO.—An incident on the Saline County side of Equality last night landed a local felon in jail at Saline County Detention Center not long after midnight this morning (Tuesday, December 24, 2013).
Arrested was one Miles Maloney, 27, at his home on Lane Street after police were called there, ostensibly due to a domestic.
Maloney had recently been on Saline’s radar after driving on a suspended license (and reportedly wrecking his car while doing so), but the bigger problem he was facing was Aggravated DUI occurring in March of this year (with the attendant driving revoked and running a stop sign). He’s been set for a plea in that case for February 19, 2014, and that will likely involve some DOC time as he’s a convicted felon.
In a recent action alleged against Maloney, he was reported to have threatened his neighbors, allegedly stating he was going to “shoot them.” There’ll be more on this report in the upcoming print version of Disclosure (January 8, 2014, the January Special Edition).
