While processing the papers for mailing this morning here in Harrisburg, we noticed a typo on the FRONT PAGE, of all places…in the cutline for the “BATTERY CHARGED” article, auto-correct got us on the month in the text.
The cutline shows that Lyndsey Polston had the mugshot in April of this year….it was actually shot in August of this year, as evidenced by the initial article we produced after the situation was brought to our attention.
Lesson here: Careful with how your autocorrect is set on your Word program…there are only two months in the year that start with A….autocorrect doesn’t discriminate. We apologize to Polston for tagging her as having been punched in the face/arrested four months before she was. We’re happy to re-run the WHOLE STORY again if you’d like, with clarification…right there on the front page. And to the haters, remember: A typo is a mistake. A mistake is NOT a “lie.” Those who think they can claim any different don’t do us any damage…they just make themselves appear ignorant…so it’s probably not a good idea to make such a claim.
