WILLIAMSON CO., Ill.—An accident occurring this morning near Pikes Hunting Club has sent a teen out of the area to be treated for injuries after being ejected from the vehicle.
According to information we’ve received about the incident, it occurred at around 9 a.m. this morning (Thursday, December 12, 2013) when the 16-year-old male driving the car lost control and struck a tree, the impact ejecting him from the vehicle as it rolled. The location is just off Highway 37, south of Marion.
He was airlifted out of the area for treatment of his injuries; we don’t have a condition at this time but are keeping an eye out for further information. We do have his name but are holding it for now.
