HAMILTON CO., Ill.—The man behind the wheel of a tragic accident in Hamilton County last week is currently behind bars in White County.
Darrell G. Delong, 49, of Collinsville, has been charged in the deaths of family members who were passengers in his vehicle when it crashed on Anderson School Road in Hamilton County on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Killed in the crash were Robert L. Parker, age 49, of Collinsville; Lori S. Parker, age 42, of Collinsville; Tammy A. Delong, age 35, of Collinsville; and Diana N. Wright, age 23, of McLeansboro; a 16-year-old juvenile passenger from Collinsville died not long after the crash.
Delong now faces five counts of Aggravated DUI involving Death, as well as a count of Reckless Homicide Involving Two or More Deaths.
