EFFINGHAM CO.—A missing person out of Effingham County hasn’t been widely publicized, and it’s unclear why.
However, Effingham public authorities’ social networking has the information, which is current as of this morning.
The news release issued from the Effingham Police Department indicates that the missing person is considered a runaway.
Jazmin Lopez is the missing person being investigated by EPD as a juvenile runaway. She is 15 years of age, 5-foot 2-inches, 125 pounds, has black hair, and brown eyes.
Jazmin was last seen on December 1, 2013, although conflicting reports issued by EPD themselves indicate they believed initially that she went missing on November 30.
EPD says she ran away from a relative’s residence located in Effingham. They have advised that Jazmin made contact with her mother and indicated she was on her way to her mother’s residence in Texas but she failed to arrive. She contacted her mother again on December 3, 2013 and indicated she was with a friend but would not say where she was.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jazmin Lopez should contact the Effingham Police Department at 217-347-0771.
