SALINE CO., Ill.—The Saline County State’s Attorney’s office has issued a press release to advise that arrests are ongoing in the county after 20 individuals were indicted during a grand jury held yesterday (December 2, 2013).
The twenty who have been indicted, on 35 separate true bills, are as follows:
Jeremiah Watson, age 19, at IYC Harrisburg, when it’s alleged that on September 25, 2013, he committed Aggravated Battery after biting the hand of Michael F. Winters, a correctional officer at IYC.
Rhett Sherwin, 24, of Harrisburg, charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon when it’s alleged he sold a Remington Model 1100 “Sawed off” shotgun on Sept. 23, 2103, as well as Unlawful Sale of Firearms under the same circumstance; and another count of Unlawful Sale of Firearms when it’s alleged that on Sept. 30, he delivered to a confidential source a Mauser 8MM rifle.
Lendell R. Trammel, 44, of Harrisburg, on a June 22, 2013 count of Aggravated Battery after allegedly shoving Les Lind, at Wooded Hills Bar and Grill in Harrisburg, and Criminal Damage to Property over $300 in that he’s alleged to have damaged Lind’s 2000 Chevy Cavalier.
Jeffrey M. Nolen, 50, of Harrisburg, when on October 9, 2013, it’s alleged he delivered hydrocodone to a confidential source and is thus charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and he’s also charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance Within 1,000 Feet of a Public Park when it’s alleged that on Sept. 23, 2013, he delivered somas (carisoprodol) within 1,000 feet of Gaskins City Park Complex.
Joseph T. Mitchell, 37, of McLeansboro, who’s indicted on Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance within 1,000 Feet of the First Baptist Church of Muddy on August 19, 2013, where it’s alleged that he delivered hydrocodone to a confidential source.
Tabitha R. Wilkins, 31, of Carrier Mills, is indicted on three counts: Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (hydrocodone) on Sept. 6; Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance Within 1,000 Feet of a School (hydrocodone, near Carrier Mills Grade School); and the same charge/location/pills, but this one on Oct. 25, 2013.
Miles T. McGhee, 29, of Harrisburg, charged with Unlawful Possession of Meth Manufacturing Materials (Coleman camping fuel, acid, air line tubing and an instant cold pack containing ammonium nitrate) with intent to use to make meth on Aug. 6, 2013.
James Matthew McEwan, 30, of Harrisburg, indicted on a December 5, 2012 incident of Unlawful Delivery of Cannabis more than 30 but not more than 500 grams; and a Dec. 18, 2012 incident of same, more than 10 but not more than 30 grams.
Michael McEwan, 53, of Harrisburg, also indicted on Unlawful Delivery of Cannabis more than 10 but not more than 30 grams on Nov. 20, 2012; and a small amount (less than 2.5 grams) on January 16, 2013. He’s also indicted on Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance from a Jan. 16, 2013 incident wherein he’s accused of delivering to a CS 20 pills containing diazepam.
Christopher L. Riden, 30, of Eldorado, indicted on Unlawful Delivery of Controlled Substance (16 pills containing phentermine) to a confidential source, once on Jan 8, 2013, and again on February 6, 2013.
Donald J. Wilkins, 54, of Carrier Mills, is indicted on Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (alprazolam) Within 1,000 Feet of a School (Carrier Mills Grade School), one on Sept. 23, 2013, one on Oct. 23, 2013, and again on Oct. 25, 2013.
Shannon M. Moss, 31, of Harrisburg, indicted on Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (oxycodone) on Sept. 16, 2013, and another of the same count but for hydrocodone, this one Sept. 25, 2013.
Luke G. Batson, 25, of Galatia, charged with a Dec. 18, 2012 count of Unlawful Delivery of Cannabis more than 10 grams not more than 30.
Theodore Long, 53, of Benton, indicted on a count of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (heroin) on Oct. 15, 2013; and Unlawful Sale of Firearms, a North American Arms .22 cal pistol, also on Oct. 15.
Cory J. Starns, 19, of Equality, on a charge of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (hydrocodone) Within 1,000 Feet of Bible Baptist Church in Harrisburg on Sept. 18, 2013.
Alan W. Brown, 62, of Harrisburg, on a count of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (morphine) Within 1,000 Feet of Harrisburg Township Park District on June 26, 2013, and a second count on July 10, 2013, of same.
Samantha R. Wheatley, 19, of Macedonia, charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (heroin) Within 1,000 Feet of East Side Intermediary School, Harrisburg, on Sept. 30, 2013.
Chase F. Soulliere, 21, of Harrisburg, charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (hydrocodone) Within 1,000 Feet of Dorrisville Social Brethren Church on Land Street in Harrisburg on Sept. 18, 2013; and Unlawful Delivery of Cannabis more than 10 but less than 30 grams on Sept. 10, 2013.
And Jashawn J. Tate, 20, of Carrier Mills, charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (dextroamphetamine) Within 1,000 Feet of the Church of God in Carrier Mills, on Sept. 12, 2013.
