Harrisburg, IL - Citizens around Southeastern Illinois College spotted some form of chase this afternoon, which Saline County authorities are being slow to make any statement on.
We received reports that a pickup truck was seen passing by the college at a very high rate of speed, and was soon followed by a police cruiser. Eye witnesses reported that the cruiser was also driving at a very high speed, and had its lights and sirens activated. It appeared to be the unmarked white 4-door cruiser that belongs to Harrisburg Police Department.
Reports indicated that both vehicles went down one of the side roads near the college that eventually leads back onto the highway. Neither vehicle has been seen since the initial spotting.
