The December Special Edition of Disclosure for 2013 is now on stands, and it’s a pretty amazing paper…we’d sold out in one location Tuesday before deliveries were even finished…and now, you’ll have to get out and get them quick, as it’s only on stands for three weeks; next issue is the December/January edition, on stands Dec. 18.

Your print headlines are presented by dateline first (the area of our coverage where the info in the piece took place) and are followed by a brief synopsis of the article. You can link directly to the article if you have an online subscription to the e-Edition; if you don’t, it will take you to the page where you can sign up; why not consider doing so if you haven’t already…the print version of Disclosure contains articles you will NOT find on the free side of the website, and if you don’t read the print version/e-Edition, you’re not getting the full Disclosure experience!

PAGE 1

hustedde gearSALINE CO.—Unstable wannabe tries Watch group: There’s been something highly questionable going on in Carrier Mills for a couple of months now, and this report brings it to you in great detail…you’re going to want to read this one, as it appears to have tendrils running throughout Saline County…and might not be over with this one issue.

WILLIAMSON CO.—Multiple murder counts charged: The sad story of the death of Barbara Beers from Johnston City…and what law enforcement steps are being taken to bring her alleged killer to justice.

WILLIAMSON CO.—Meetings questioned: Follow up to the brief post we put on the site on November 14, regarding whatever came of the “meeting” we overheard in the Williamson County administrative building. As an addendum to the story, we have also covered in this piece what has happened with FOIA denials in the city of Marion…since everything there seems to be intricately woven, and it’s all “that’s they way we’ve always done it” anyway.

triggHARDIN CO.—Jailed 90+ days with no charges; county liable for prosecutor: Here’s an unbelievable move by Hardin’s “prosecutor” Tara Wallace…who’s denying the whole thing took place. Unfortunately for her, the judge in the case knows what happened…and is the one who’s put his name to the paperwork. You have to read this one to believe it, and even then, it’s going to leave your mouth agape.

EDGAR CO.—Terrorism at Edgar County Airport: Coverage in greater detail of the horrific explosions and fire that took place November 18….including the REAL details about who owns the planes, and why, possibly, that this happened. This article also includes the second part of the timeline of events leading up to the death of Rusty Bogue…whose crash, incidentally, occurred in a plane owned by the same person who owned the ones that burned.

HARDIN CO.—Prosecutor torments 12-year-old-boy as personal vendetta continues: Another unbelievable Tara Wallace tome…the horrors that this woman is putting people through cannot be underestimated, and when you read this piece—with shots of documentation presented within the article as photos so you’ll be able to see first-hand what’s in the file—you’ll be horrified, too.

WABASH CO.—Robbery of convenience store, manhunt highlight keep Wabash lawmen busy: The preceding three weeks have been a WILD time for Wabash County; here are some of the alleged criminal antics that involved.

FRANKLIN CO.—West Frankfort man arrested as part of Operation Glass House: Big news came in mid-month November about

WHITE CO.—Child pornography charges against Carmi man graphic: Here’s the second part of the Operation Glass House, with very graphic information about what Donald Currier is charged with.

James Hollenbeck

DOUGLAS CO.—Hollenbeck’s heroism, the evil of Inman, and failures of our system in hitman case: A turn of events in the case we’re following of Jennifer Inman, of the Heartland area but also having lived in Williamson County, and the steps she took that got her jailed for allegedly trying to get her ex killed. But the important part of this mess is featured in this article: How she tried to basically frame an innocent man, what happened in that case, and what is coming next.

PAGE THREE

WHITE CO.—Targeting of doctor whose case was dismissed continues, with dubious ISP agent at the wheel: Among the most intriguing articles presented this month in a series is the backstory behind the case with Dr. Jogendra Chhabra in White County, and what appears for all intents and purposes to be a systematic targeting of him. So the question now becomes: How many other people is Rick White targeting…and are there people not guilty of the crimes they’ve been convicted of currently sitting in prison because of him? You’re not going to read this anywhere else; don’t miss this series.

Kakac-Kev-4Web

Kevin Kakac

WAYNE/FRANKLIN COs.—Attorney involved in civil litigation named judge: The second part of the series about what’s going on in the case involving Peoples National Bank, Bill Bonan II, and a Benton man who is having problems with a sort of business venture with them that’s affected every aspect of his life. Worst of all…the former attorney for the bank has now been named judge, causing him to be the first judge, to our knowledge, who has active litigation against him while sitting on the bench. And it’s not just any active civil litigation…it’s something that could lead to a serious situation for the bank and for everyone involved if the complainant, Mark Gilula, wins. Keep up with this series; there’s always something “unique” going on in the courtrooms of southern Illinois, and this is but one example of that.

FEATURE STORY, PAGE 8

ILLINOIS/INDIANA—Wicked Midwest storms leave devastation across Illinois, Indiana: Coverage of the November 17 storms that created such a mess across two states, and includes photos heretofore unpublished. This is a great wrap-up, with updated information about the deadly series of tornados that ripped through the area that day.

EGYPT

kasairs fire

ELDORADO—Reporter assaulted at scene of fire, report made to authorities: The other side of the situation our reporter encountered when she went to cover the Kasair fire outside of Eldorado. This is a serious situation, we take these matters very seriously, and we DON’T put up with it….doesn’t matter WHO the individual is or WHAT the situation is, there’s no excuse.

Trevor Martin

Trevor Martin

WILLIAMSON CO.—Party host indicted in death of young guest last summer: Outcome of the grand jury held for the investigation into the death of Trevor Martin; the long-awaited arrest and charging of Dink Dunn…but only on Involuntary Manslaughter. We’ll see how this one goes.

Eric Gregg

HARRISBURG—Tornado funds: What does the grant allow?: Part two of the series involving research into who received grant funds for rebuilding after the Harrisburg Leap Day Tornado…and who probably should NOT have.

HARRISBURG—City business features defunct website, though someone has been paid for one: Those who were wondering where good ol Eric Gregg had got off to needn’t wonder much: He’s still making his “impact” known on the city and its business, this month in the form of some subterfuge about the city’s website.

JACKSON CO.—Another former bigwig in trouble, this one in Jackson: Update on the situation with Steve Patton, who got busted on his birthday over in Carbondale, apparently after partying a little too much.

CARRIER MILLS—TIF District in Carrier Mills? Possibly: TIF Districts were designed to revitalize blighted areas of municipalities. Since their inception, however, they’ve been abused to the point that little burgs like the Mills can use them to divert taxes from much-needed taxing bodies, like school districts, and into developers’ pockets, just like is being done in Marion with Marion Heights LLC. This meeting coverage story explains the problems with this expensive measure.

JOHNSTON CITY—Investigation ongoing into child’s death: Update of the piece we brought you at the end of October about an infant’s death in Johnston City, and what we’ve learned about the investigation thus far.

GALLATIN CO.—Gallatin Co. police blotter: Very unoriginal headline, but a bunch of original alleged crims within.

FEATURE STORY, PAGE 16

Lucy’s Place: Business making gaming entertainment work for the people of Illinois: Awesome feature story explaining just what the “Lucy’s Place” venues are that are popping up all around our area; they’re in Marion, Mt. Carmel, Harrisburg, Salem and Centralia in our area, as well as all across the state, with more to come.

HEARTLAND

niemerg, kelci

Kelci Niemerg

EFFINGHAM CO.—Motion denied—Effingham judge sends Kelci Niemerg back to prison: Coverage of an interesting situation out of E-ham County, wherein the lovely Ms. Neimerg, hoping to play upon Kim Koester’s sympathies as a child-bearing female, has fallen flat, and it appears she’ll have a baby in prison. Read the story to find out what it is she did that put her there.

CRAWFORD CO.—Charged with sexual misconduct with student: Another teacher arrested for sex crimes with a child in a Crawford County school…they’ve had a rough year.

CRAWFORD CO.—DUI, drugs, escape and fatal DUI crash featured in Crawford: The Crawford crim roundup, including the charges against Jared Carter, prison escapee from Robinson Correctional.

EDGAR/COLES COs.—Circuit’s probation office continues to be plagued with problems: Upheaval in the Fifth Judicial Circuit’s probation office continues with a recent, unexplained departure of an employee.

CRAWFORD CO.—Charge DISMISSED: Wouldn’t you know it…just when we’re tracking down the VERY interesting backstory on Steve Tracy, and the charge against him in Crawford just magically goes away…but, there’s no reason to not run that interesting backstory. Look for more to come.

CENTRAL

LAWRENCE CO.—Chicken Run is NOT running anymore: The sad sad tale of methhead and former fugitive from justice, Jodi Brown/Trammel/Edwards/Cusick/other possible names, who eluded authorities in numerous counties but is now back in Lawrence.

U.S. DISTRICT COURT, BENTON—Williams transported to Federal Prison?: We can’t find Kevin Williams’ name on the Federal Bureau of Prisons website. That may or may not mean anything…but the feds are so secretive with their prisoners, we have to wonder…

LAWRENCEVILLE—New Chief of Police: Mike Mefford stepped aside, Jim White was put in his place.

OLNEY—City tax levy increasing five percent; are department pensions to blame?: Of COURSE they are….and of course, the taxpayers of Olney bear the burden. Read this story to see how ridiculous this whole thing is.
