CARTERVILLE—The fire reported at the Walker’s Bluff area this morning has left extensive damage to the Carriage House, located behind the General Store. Our correspondent was able to get to the location for some shots of the damage.
According to Williamson County Fire Chief Jeremy Norris as many as eight departments were on the scene at the Carriage House located behind the general store.
The Carriage House is the receiving and storage area and also houses a couple of offices.
When fire crews arrived, flames were shooting from the east side of the building. Tankers as far away as Buncombe were called in due to a water shortage.
It is undetermined as to the cause of the fire at this time State Fire Marshall has been called in. An unidentified employee did not wish to give a statement at this time.
