UPDATE 8:45 A.M

The fire has been contained; it affected primarily the warehouse and offices building, this according to firefighter sources.

CARTERVILLE—A fire has been worked at Walker’s Bluff this morning (09.23.13) in Marion since the first call at about 6:40 a.m.

Our sources indicated that the fire was limited to the Carriage House behind the General Store on the site. At shortly before 7 a.m. there was a lot of smoke reported.

At about 7:40 all available tankers had been called to the area.

Walker’s Bluff is a beautiful vineyard location in Carterville, outside of Marion that’s been a venue for huge names in the music field this past year, including Heart and Lynrd Skynrd.
