EFFINGHAM CO.—We’ve received reports that a mainstream news outlet is attempting to discredit us about the third crime scene in the Willow Long murder case.
We just want to state for the record that we had it CONFIRMED to us by both Deputy Phil Hardiek and Coroner Duane Guffey that at the time of the report yesterday, the scene the investigators were observing was being considered a third crime scene, besides the house at Circle Drive in Watson, and the “body of water” south of Watson, as scenes one and two, respectively.
IF they have confirmed that this location they BOTH identified as a “third crime scene” was indeed NOT a related crime scene, NO ONE has contacted us about it, upon breaking it.
With 80,000 clicks a day, one would think one of those clicks would be from the Effingham County sheriff’s department.
We await a call from the sheriff’s department, with whom we’ve been in contact today, incidentally, with no correction, to see if the mainstream media outlet is attempting to discredit us, or if the scene was indeed not related to Willow Long’s death.
We made no assumption on the situation; only went with what we were told. And until we hear otherwise, it stands.
