CLARK CO.—An early-morning incident in Casey reportedly involves a man with an extensive Crawford County criminal history.
At just after 5 this morning (Wednesday, September 4, 2013) Casey police responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Northwest Second Street and West Buckeye. When they arrived, they found a 39-year-old female bleeding from multiple stab wounds.

Their investigation revealed that she was attacked, upon leaving her residence to go to work, by her estranged husband.
The was transported to Sarah Bush Lincoln and later transferred to Carle Hospital in Champaign.
At about 7:20 a.m., Henry Bice, 40, was taken into custody near the Casey Municipal Airport by officers of the Casey Police Department. Bice is being held in the Clark County Jail pending filing of formal charges.
Bice’s history in Crawford is extensive and he’s been a regular in that courtroom for a couple of decades now. By and large, he seems to have a problem with burglary, forgery and or some kind of theft, but in one particular instance, he was able to get a felony sex charge pled down to a misdemeanor. Most violence alleged against him was either dismissed, or involved inanimate objects, not people. Apparently, he’s only recently moved to Clark County, and has no discernible record there. Until now.
