MARION—One of the former cops we’ve been writing about in the past two issues has made mainstream news today, since he’s settled his federal case.
Dustin (“Dusty”) Lingle, aka one of Brittany Lane’s suckers, is headed to a sentencing date of November 22 after a plea agreement was entered in a federal civil rights case filed against him earlier this month.
Lingle was a cop in Marion when, earlier this year, while affecting an arrest of a person known to us only at this time as “JA,” he was alleged to have beaten JA while restrained…which is a violation of JA’s rights under the Constitution.
We’d reported in previous issues that Lingle, who was a known fling of the repulsive badge bunny Brittany Lane when she lived in Johnson County at Lake of Egypt, had been suspended from the department. We didn’t learn there had been a suit filed until today; it was filed August 1. Apparently he wanted it over with, and entered a plea almost immediately.
Brittany, of course, moved on to another cop after Lingle was out of the department.
We’ll have more on the federal case against Lingle in the upcoming September-October edition; in the meantime, why don’t you take a read of the current (August-September) issue, which contains the page 16 story, “Trooper and wife finally get divorced; homes still being wrecked regionally” which we have here in the “Read the Lead” offering for the day:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SALINE CO.—Area badge bunny Brittany Lane can now add “ex-wife” to the list of descriptives that folks across several counties use when referring to the hedonistic young mother of two and self-avowed homewrecker.
The divorce her trooper (former) husband Brett Lane sought from her more than two years ago after she came dragging into their marital home at 8 in the morning, having been with local entrepreneur Chris Schimp all night, was finalized on Wednesday, August 7, 2013.
The case was concluded and divorce granted Trooper Lane after months worth of coverage of his ex-wife’s infidelities, bizarre behavior, alleged drug use and proclivity to pose for pornography…and drag others into it.
However, this month, the situation isn’t over, even if the three-year marriage is at an end.
That’s because the Brittster’s propensity toward getting sexually involved with cops has crossed another county line: at first it was Saline; then, Johnson. Now the Brittster has taken up with an officer of the law in Marion, in Williamson County…and her exploits with this officer cross even another line, in that the officer’s mother-in-law has become a well-known, and somewhat infamous, name in the city where he’s a cop.
