SPECIAL PROSECUTOR BEING BROUGHT IN ON CIRCUIT CLERK DEPUTIES’ CASES

WILLIAMSON CO.—There’s a little bit of news coming out of Williamson County tonight on the case of the alleged thieving deputy clerks at the county courthouse:

We’ve learned that a special prosecutor has been brought in to handle the cases.

Who this might be remains unknown at this time, but there’s been an order signed for the Attorney General’s office to enter the cases in order to handle prosecution.

Why Chuck Garnati, Williamson’s long-time duly-elected prosecutor, doesn’t feel up to handling these cases also remains unknown; ordinarily, Garnati doesn’t back off from prosecuting even those in his county where there’s the appearance of a conflict (prosecuting someone employed by the county, such as a deputy on the sheriff’s department, a possible conflict as the county’s prosecutor is also the legal counsel for county employees). However, apparently, he’s out on this one.

WilliamsonReports reached us on deadline of the last issue that Garnati was pretty much spastic over the case, and didn’t appear to be handling it very well.

Mainstream media reports have continued to NOT report the names of the three women allegedly involved, however, they have finally reported, as of today, that the women have indeed been terminated.

Sue Davis, Kelly Trammel and Cheryl Cundiff were walked off the premises of the courthouse in Marion on Monday, August 5, as eyewitnessed by several individuals. Escorting them were the same investigators who had been questioning them all day. The investigation centered around missing bond money, in an unknown amount, although reliable sources are telling Disclosure that Cudiff alone had told investigators that she allegedly took as much as $20,000 over the past three years.

Cheryl Cundiff is the wife of former Williamson County sheriff Tom Cundiff.

The three are considered public officials and it is not illegal to supply their names to the articles even though they’re not yet charged, so why mainstream media is so reluctant to provide the names remains unknown.
