LAWRENCEVILLE—Official sources have confirmed as of yesterday that a water department employee in the city of Lawrenceville was let go after a recent drug test.

waterWill Padgett, reportedly of St. Francisville, is said to have tested positive for a substance that violated terms of employment with the city water department.

The testing was approved by new mayor Don Wagner.

Padgett was reportedly let go earlier this week.

Another water department employee whose name was not released to Disclosure is under scrutiny after being drug tested; it’s reported to us that he has been required to provide proof that he has been prescribed the drug that he tested positive for, or he too will be terminated.

We’ll have the full story in the September-October edition of Disclosure, right here online at the e-Edition Sept. 9 if you have a membership; on stands Sept. 10-11 if you prefer the print version!
