WHITE CO.–Breaking word from the courthouse is Danny Coston has waived his right to a jury trial and is in the process of having a bench trial in front of Judge Tom Foster. This is a stipulated bench trial. Charges have been amended to include ONLY one count of First Degree Murder in the death of Jessica Evans, one count of Second Degree Murder in the death of Jacob Wheeler and a count of Criminal Sexual Assualt against Evans. No other charges have been amended against Coston.
It appears the prosecution is proceeding with the second story Coston gave, not the third Story.
Evidence is being presented to Foster by prosecutor Denton Aud. Coston has waived the right to pre-sentencing investigation and may proceed straight to sentencing if found guilty today. With a stipulated sentencing of no less than 50 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
