HARDIN CO.—What happened before midnight last night may or may not have had anything to do with The Gathering of the Juggalos at the Hog Rock Campgrounds, but it sure did get the attention of some Cave-in-Rock and Elizabethtown residents.
Reports coming in to us late last night (before midnight) indicate that there was a loud boom that rattled things in houses in Cave and was felt/heard in the E-town area as well. Inquiries to official sources this morning have been unreturned so far. Might just have been another one of the area’s mysterious booms, or it might’ve had something to do with The Gathering….although that, of course, would make for some sensational reporting by Juggalos, and thus far, there’s not much of that, either. Of course, Hardin County is where wireless cell phone and internet signals go to die, so that might account for the lack of correspondence out of the area.
No overdoses so far today….but we’re hearing murmurings of a particular set of people who may have been responsible for bringing the synthetic drug 25I (N-Bombs) to the grounds, the substance that all ODs so far have tested positive for when rushed to the hospital in Rosiclare. When we learn more about that, we’ll bring it; keep checking back, and bear in mind that the news might be sparse at this juncture as everyone on staff is hard at work on the print version, which will be available here online next Monday, August 12, and the news stands will be full (including NEW vendors in South Counties and Williamson County in particular, be watching for this update!!)as of Wednesday, August 14. The reason why there’s no cell signal south of Gallatin County. Wonder if all the Juggs are aware they’re sitting downhill from a volcano….?
