WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. - On April 1, 2019, a Williamson County judge found Annette M. Williams, a/k/a Annette Staley, 49, of Carterville, guilty of retail theft following a bench trial held on March 28.
On September 26, 2016, a retail theft was reported from a local women’s retail boutique in Marion. The owner presented video surveillance footage that showed a woman matching Williams’s description appearing to be stealing a dress from the store.
Williams will be sentenced on a later date.
The investigation that led to Williams’s arrest was handled by the Marion Police Department.
