
CUMBERLAND CO., Ill. - An Oklahoma truck driver is the recipient of a number of citations - including a DUI - after a wreck earlier today outside of Greenup.
Illinois State Police in District 12 Effingham said the crash occurred at 11:30 a.m. today, Saturday, March 30.
Preliminary investigative details indicate that a 2015 Freightliner truck-tractor with a 2018 Hytr semi-trailer, being operated by Zachariah Goble, 33 of Edmond, Okalahoma, was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 near Greenup. The rig ran off the roadway to the right and overturned after it had merged onto the milepost 119 exit ramp.
Goble was transported to Terre Haute Regional Hospital via Cumberland County Ambulance with unspecified injuries.
He was subsequently cited for Driving Too Fast for Conditions, Improper Lane Usage, MCSL Log Violation/False Logs, Driving Under the Influence of a Combination of Alcohol, Drugs or Intoxicating Compounds.
