DISTRICT 12, EFFINGHAM, Ill. - Illinois State Police (ISP) District 12 Commander, Captain Cory Ristvedt, announces the results of various patrols held in the area and focusing on Clay, Effingham and Marion counties.
Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrols (OREP) were held in Marion and Clay counties during March. These OREPs provided extra patrol coverage for the ISP so officers could focus on saving lives by making sure all vehicle occupants were buckled up.
And here are the results of Nighttime Enforcement (NITE) patrols in Effingham and Clay counties during March. These NITE patrols allowed the ISP to focus on preventing, detecting, and taking enforcement action in response to impaired driving and occupant restraint violations especially between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
